Rekha Owen
Professional Trustee
I am a professional Trustee based in Leeds with a background in investments. I work across DB, DC and hybrid schemes and my appointments include a mix of co-Trustee and corporate sole trustee appointments. I also chair the investment sub-committee for a £200m hybrid scheme with a charity sponsor. My focus in each of these roles is upholding high levels of governance and delivering good outcomes for members.
Prior to joining Law Debenture, I spent the majority of my career with Mercer, with roles in investment consulting, fiduciary management and alternative investments. Most recently I led Mercer's Alternatives Investment Business in Canada. I also have experience working in asset management supervision within the FCA. I have achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst Accreditation from the CFA Institute and the Investment Management Certificate from the Institute of Investment Management and Research.
Outside of work, I have a passion for long distance triathlon so much of my spare time is spent on a bike, running in the hills of Yorkshire or swimming in a freezing lake!
