I am a qualified solicitor, former general counsel and accredited member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees. I represent Law Debenture as chair of trustees, co-trustee and corporate sole trustee on a variety of pension schemes with assets ranging in size from £10m to >£2bn.
I adopt an objectives-led and strategic approach to pension scheme governance and has a track record of driving major improvements in governance structures. I lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering major transactions and projects, including risk transfer, contingent security and member option exercises. I am a confident communicator at board level and build constructive working relationships with sponsors and other stakeholders. I have a collaborative and yet commercial approach to managing advisers and suppliers.
I joined LawDeb from PwC where I was Head of Trustee Services from 2013 to 2019 with responsibility for managing the firm’s two DB Schemes. I was a member of PwC’s DC governance committee. Prior to PwC, I was Company Secretary and Chief Legal Adviser for Tata Global Beverages where I became a company-appointed trustee of the Tetley GB Final Salary Scheme and was twice elected as a member representative of Tata’s DC steering committee.
I am a member of the Council of the Society of Pension Professionals, the Advisory Panel of the PensionsChair Network and the Advisory Council of trustee liability insurer, OPDU.
I act as trustee of the charitable company, St. John’s Downshire Hill.
