Jane Beverley
Head of Trusteeship
Jane Beverley joined LawDeb in 2019, having previously been Head of Research at XPS Pensions Group. Given her background, Jane brings a wealth of in-depth pensions knowledge and experience to her work as a professional trustee. She is a qualified actuary and an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Trustees.
Jane represents LawDeb on a number of schemes, including three multi-billion DB schemes, with roles as Chair, Committee Chair and Co-Trustee. Jane has helped guide several schemes through the risk transfer and wind-up process, including three buy-ins, a completed buy-out and a longevity swap.
Jane is particularly in demand on administration sub-committees (she chairs three) and on GMP equalisation sub-committees. She also sits on audit and risk sub-committees and investment sub-committees. She has led schemes through numerous complex decisions, including GMP equalisation and conversion, rapid response situations including the LDI crisis and cyber incidents, valuations and adviser selections.
Jane’s focus is on using her pensions technical knowledge to work with fellow trustees, advisers and corporate sponsors to achieve better outcomes for members. Her clients value her inclusive and pragmatic approach as well as her technical background. Jane also runs LawDeb’s training programme for her pensions colleagues.
