LawDebenture

LawDeb is closely monitoring the progress of this legislation to ensure our clients are well-prepared and compliant. Additionally, we will be registering as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (“ACSP”) to facilitate identity verification services.

Key dates to remember:

  • 27 January 2025: New regulations now enable individuals to shield residential addresses previously used as a company’s registered office from the public Companies House register. This will enhance privacy and security for many business owners.
  • 25 February 2025: Qualifying individuals and organizations can register as an ACSP.  Additionally, Companies House will gain enhanced powers to strike off companies registered on a false basis, ensuring greater corporate transparency.
  • 25 March 2025: Voluntary IDV will be available through the GOV.UK One Login platform or through an ACSP.

Preparing for compulsory IDV
From Autumn 2025, IDV will become mandatory for new directors, LLP members, and PSCs. Existing directors must complete the IDV process by their Company’s next confirmation statement deadline.

LawDeb is here to support you through these changes. From March 2025, we will offer comprehensive verification services as a Companies House accredited ACSP to help you navigate the new regulatory landscape seamlessly.
