Anna Eagles
Director
Anna is an experienced member of our professional trustee team, representing LawDeb on a number of Boards and Committees for trust-based arrangements as well as on governing bodies for contract-based arrangements (under the FCA’s regulatory regime).
Anna is the LawDeb representative as a general trustee on the Aviva Master Trust board, and sits on its Audit & Risk Committee and Member Experience and Communications Committee. Anna sits on Vanguard’s Independent Governance Committee responsible for overseeing the investment pathways for the Vanguard Self-invested Personal Pension arrangement.
Anna also represents LawDeb in various committee Chair roles on three hybrid schemes (ranging from £1bn to £10bn) and a DB arrangement (over £1bn). Anna is equally comfortable not chairing and enjoys supporting fellow trustees on DB and hybrid Boards, as well as being an integral part of LawDeb’s Sole Corporate Trustee team.
Anna encourages collaboration and accountability within the Boards that she joins, and she applies energy and empathy to influence and get results. She is passionate about DC – helping improve members’ retirement and savings outcomes through better governance, value for money, information, and education.
Prior to LawDeb, Anna was a Senior DC Consultant at Willis Towers Watson, having started out as an actuarial consultant 20+ years earlier. During her time at WTW, Anna advised both trustees and corporate clients on DC, DB and hybrid schemes and on operational areas. Anna’s DC focus covered many areas including governance frameworks; lifestyle/freestyle investment designs; provider selection and benchmarking; member engagement; regulatory and legislative changes including pension freedoms and auto-enrolment.
A pensions actuary by training, Anna is an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries who loves Fast & Furious films, “enjoys” building fishponds and run-walk-running in her spare time.
