Law Debenture Pension Trustees increases its scheme secretarial and trustee governance team with two new hires
Law Debenture has increased its scheme secretarial and trustee governance team to meet demand from its clients.
In November the team was joined by Kathy Turpin and this week by Saadia Ahmed.
Law Debenture Pension Trustees’ team has been growing steadily for some time as they hire experienced and commercially minded pension professionals and these two new hires are no exception. Both Kathy and Saadia are experienced scheme secretaries with Saadia’s know-how being predominantly from in-house and Kathy’s from consultancy and in-house.
Kathy spent ten years at Punter Southall within the admin services group and joins LawDeb from National Grid where she was a DC Scheme Pension Adviser.
Saadia joins from Lloyds Banking Group where she has spent the last four years in the Pensions Executive undertaking all day-to-day tasks relating to governance and scheme secretarial for numerous pensions schemes.
Both have hit the ground running at Law Debenture by taking on existing schemes and working to develop awareness of Law Debenture within this space.
The theme of improved governance for pension schemes is not a new one but has garnered increasing interest in recent months as tPR encourages sponsors and trustees to deliver demonstrable improvement in their management of scheme governance and controls.
Michael Chatterton, Managing Director of LawDeb Pension Trustees commented:
We have seen an increase in the number of Scheme Secretary and stand alone project appointments within the Trustee Governance team. Kathy and Saadia are highly experienced pension professionals who will help drive forward the continued growth of the team
