Ian McKinlay joins Pegasus as Director of Investment Services

Pegasus, a Law Debenture company providing outsourced pensions executive services, is delighted to announce that Ian McKinlay has joined as Director of Investment Services.

With a strong track record in leading in-house pension investment teams, Ian will help clients drive and manage their investment objectives, with an emphasis on delivery, best practice governance, resourcing, cost, and project control.

This new role is part of Pegasus’ expansion to provide an investment team capability alongside their highly successful pensions executive offering.

Ian joins from Avida International, where he was a Senior Advisor advising pension funds on appropriate governance and resourcing models. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Lloyds Banking Group Pensions, comprising some £50bn across various schemes. Previously, he was CIO at Aviva Staff Pensions, and at the Pension Protection Fund.

In addition, Ian has Chaired the UK advisory board of the Pension Fund Investment Forum, is a member of the PLSA accreditation committee for DC standards and was previously a member of the Finance and Investment Board of the actuarial profession. 

Pegasus offers independent outsourced pensions executive services, including pensions management and secretarial support, to pension scheme trustees and corporates. Its services are designed to deliver a well thought out strategy supported by strong governance and efficient operations. In under four years, Pegasus has more than quadrupled its headcount to almost 30 pension professionals while continuing to attract new clients.
